SOOOOOOO difficult to tune. 😫😫😫😫😫😫 But soooooooo worth it!!!!!! In planning my own studies without a teacher, I'm going to be working in other positions with each addition of a finger. These exercises I'm using will only be a starting point. Once I'm pretty comfortable with first position first finger, I plan to start working on third position first finger, writing my own exercises for it, and then fifth position first finger in the same way. After fifth position, I will move on to the second finger and learn first position with the second finger alone and then with the first finger, third position with the second finger alone and then with the first finger in that position, and fifth position so on.
What I see in the approach of mastering first position and playing repertoire in it before working on other positions is getting into the mindset of simply seeing a player or oneself as a beginner, instead of simply as an individual currently in the beginning stages. I fully believe that mentality is everything, and I refuse to limit myself to what one would expect of a beginner! . . .
But I WILL PLAY IN TUNE, or SO HELP ME, GOD !!!!!!!!
