So we moved into our 1st home together, a 2B/BTH duplex for $750/month.
We thought we made it y’all!
We felt so free!
We would turn the music up loud as we built beds, dressers and hung shit on the walls.
Our first meal was his famous spaghetti.
Our families blessed us with everything!
It was blissful!
But the move took all our money.
I had just started working & Caleb had an interview at my job.
Yes we worked together and we LOVED IT. (I’ll tell that story later)
We had some saving to do & not a lot of time to do it. Thankfully, I used to be an accountant, so my budgeting skills were on point.
Caleb… not so much.
Again, he is an 8 and 8’s have extreme ups & downs with money.
With me being a 5, I usually pulled money in quite easily. Most 5’s do.
So yes, Money was scarce but the real issue was his OCD paired with my “creative” style.
Caleb likes his clothes hung up, color coordinated and separated by slacks, jeans, dress shirts etc.
I put my clothes in a corner on the floor somewhere. Lol
I should have known he had OCD bc when I would visit him in Denver, he would always re-hang my coat up so that it was symmetrical and then call me in the closet to SHOW me how to do it his way next time.
He would neatly fold my clothes and put them back in my suitcase.
He freaked out if I brushed my teeth and little splashes got on the mirror.
Chile! All the signs of OCD were there! Lol
This is funny to write about now, but this was a big deal for us. Lol
You have to understand that when I lived in New Orleans, one of my best friends stayed with me for a while and she cooked & cleaned for me.
So I went from THAT to Caleb wanting ME to do it.
I tried it. It didn’t work.
So we had to adjust.
He had his clean side of the closet and I had my “creative” side.
I watched him take a deep breath before entering the closet every day.
It was frustrating, but we were happy to finally have all 3 us under one roof.
And then came the cooking issue...
